Counselling

I am a BACP accredited and registered Counsellor and Coach working in private practice in North London.  I work with both individuals and couples on a range of issues.

I have worked with a huge variety of clients from a diverse range of backgrounds, nationalities, ethniticities, religions, ages, sexualities and professions.  My approach is to work with the person (rather than the problem) meeting where they are at and going at their own pace.

I have worked extensively with bereavement and loss, infertility and relationships.  I have seen over 200 couples and am trained in facilitating therapeutic groups.

I have also worked as a specialised Infertility Counsellor and previously co-ran the counselling department for a fertility clinic, The Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH) in Central London.  During this time I served as the Press Officer for BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and Books Editor of the BICA Journal.

I am passionate about communicating the importance of mental health and wellbeing to a wide audience and increasing awareness and understanding of their relevance to us as individuals and a society.  I give talks on wellbeing and mental health.  Recent talks include a conference for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Harrow School.

As a person and as a counsellor I have always believed in Carl Roger’s idea that we are in the process of ‘becoming’. We continue to evolve and grow throughout our lives.  For me, the work is a continuing process of discovery and development, about possibility and potential, maximizing personal understanding and fulfilment.  My aim is to help people to live their lives fully in the present with awareness and insight so that they can consciously make healthy  choices and realize their potential and enhance their lives.
